March 14 // Letter from the Pastor:
Dear Grace Family,
Earlier today Governor Roy Cooper issued an executive order prohibiting large gatherings.
In the interest of health and safety, Pr Brooks and Council President Dave a Schultz agreed that Grace would honor the Governor’s executive order.
We will not hold worship tomorrow, March 15th.
Further information about our worship schedule will come shortly.
Please continue to shelter in place and help reduce the number of Coronavirus infections in our communities.
Keep checking the website for more information and updates on services and office hours for the church. Find Governor Cooper's executive order prohibiting large gatherings here.
There are many people who are more at risk of catching the virus and who have a higher mortality risk than those who are young and with no other health issues. As such, staying home and avoiding large numbers of people will protect those for whom catching the virus could have severe consequences. Please extend love and kindness to the neighbors in our community by limiting the places you go (like the grocery store, movie theater, restaurants). Also be aware of how the virus spreads. Even though you do not yet have symptoms, you could still have the virus. You may not exhibit symptoms for up to two weeks, making the transmission of the virus difficult to track. So even if you do not feel sick, it is still important not to place yourself in large groups of people. Since the virus spreads through coughing, sneezing, and touching, please make sure to always cover when you sneeze or cough. Wash hands often for at least 20 seconds and restrain from touching your face. We want to make sure that we are being responsible citizens by doing our part to slow the spread of the virus. We also want to be loving Christians by keeping our neighbors safe.
