Welcome to Grace
We are glad you decided to learn more about Grace Lutheran Evangelical Church. We strive to be a place of fellowship, serving, and worship. In fellowship, we try to love one another as God loves us (1 John 4:10). Despite our many differences, backgrounds, and lifestyles, we are all part of the body of Christ (Ephesians 3:6). We also believe that love should be put into action. We therefore seek to serve as Christ serves, for "the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many" (Matthew 20:28). We hope to imitate Jesus Christ by helping one another through difficult times, by living with generosity towards our neighbors, and by forgiving one another in love. Lastly, we gather here ultimately to worship God and to make His glory known. We hope you will join us on Sunday to sing songs of praise to God, to read Scripture, to hear the Word proclaimed, and to feast in holy communion.
What To Expect
Grace strives to create and foster a community that is welcoming and friendly. When you enter our front doors, you will be greeted by members of Grace who can answer any questions you have about our church.
In the Narthex, you can find bulletins for the morning services, as well as children's bulletins, children's activity bags, and Assistive Listening devices. The bathroom hallway is also attached to the Narthex.
Join us for worship at either 8:30 or 11 AM. Our services run for about an hour.
At 9:45 AM, we have fellowship hour in the Fellowship Hall, which was the original sanctuary of Grace. Help yourself to light refreshments and feel free to send your kids to one of our educational classes (see below).
During the Sunday School hour, we have programs dedicated to the education and formation of children and youth. We currently have the following classes:
Children, 3-year-olds - 1st grade, Wittenberg Room
Children, 2nd-4th graders, Bethany Classroom
Confirmation, 5th-7th graders, Library
During the Sunday service, we invited all kids to the front for a Children's Message. After, children are dismissed to learn, play, and do crafts and return to the sanctuary after the sermon concludes.
