Outreach and Community Involvement
We invite you to respond to the love of God by caring for the needs in our local community. We believe that God has a plan for us, as well as for our neighborhoods, for our city, and for our world. In hope that God is carrying out God's plan, we work to build healthy and strong communities; share life with our neighbors in Walltown, Trinity Park, Duke, and the Triangle; and go with Good News to other nations. We believe in being good neighbors--in serving others with mercy and compassion, no matter how different, no matter where you're from, or what your problems are--because we follow the example of Christ who serves us with mercy and compassion, even in our sin.
In cooperation with the Host Homes program of Duke University Medical Center, we offer free and accessible short-term housing for family members of patients at Duke Hospital. Duke Lutherans, part of the Lutheran Campus Ministry and an Early Head Start program occupy the lower floor of Grace House.
Held annually since the fall of 2013, this free clinic provides medical and dental check-ups, eye exams, groceries, clothing, haircuts, meals, and prayer. Hundreds of families have been served at this clinic.
Touched By Grace

Prayer Requests are referred to the prayer chain, a group of volunteers who lift up the needs of our members, family and friends in prayer. Complete Prayer Request form to request prayer.
Sometimes hospital visits are for emergency situations. However, there are no conditions for a visit and we will see anyone who requests a visit. Call or email the church office to provide information for the hospitalized to be seen.
