Prayer pointers:

To remember that you are not your own

To be guided by the Spirit given to you at baptism

Today’s text: 1 Corinthians 6:12-20

WE DO NOT BELONG to ourselves, but we belong to God. We have been redeemed by him, rescued by him at great cost. We are his pleasant planting, his sheepfold, the people of his own choosing. We are the temples of the Holy Spirit, that Spirit that searches even the mind of God.

This is the Spirit’s entry now:

The water and the Word,

The Cross of Jesus on your brow,

The seal both felt and heard.

We who were nobodies are now somebodies.

May your day be grace-filled ~ Pr. Dave Brooks
