Prayer Pointers:

For boldness to tell all how much God has done for you

For those who need healing, release, freedom

Today’s text: Luke 8:26-39

THE CRUX OF JESUS’ MINISTRY is that he is the source of Good News; his very being brings joy and possibility. In the case of the man held by a demonic legion, good news is experiencing the rout of those infernal troops, the defeat of those awful forces that held the poor man in torment. After what has happened—what has been done for him!—who can blame the man for going around and telling every single person he met that he was once “lost, but was found?” We would actually be surprised if he kept that news to himself.

As you read this story and pray, ask yourself: what is my good news? What is that thing from which Jesus has released me, defeated on my behalf, sent to the roustabouts? Where has he set my feet on a good and pleasant road? How has he turned my losses and griefs into joy and gain? What is my good news?

What are you waiting for? Go tell someone!

May your day be grace-filled ~ Pr. Dave Brooks
