Prayer Pointers:

That the joy of the Resurrection would fill your life

For artists, that they would glorify God in their work

Today’s text: Isaiah 30:18-22

IN TODAY’S LUTHERAN LITURGICAL CALENDAR, the artist Albrecht Dürer (1471-1528) is remembered. A largely self-taught artist admired by such contemporaries as Leonardo da Vinci and Raphael, Dürer is best remembered as an artist of the Reformation, using his considerable talents to record and capture the great figures and themes of the period.

In our own lives, we should pray that the power and grace of our Lord’s Resurrection would color and shape our lives to reflect God’s glory. We should not be afraid as God—that great Artist!—shades, reworks and fills in the portrait of each of us as we are brought into the kingdom of light!

May your day be grace-filled ~ Pr. Dave Brooks
